Are side reflectors mandatory on two-wheelers?
According to UNECE regulations, side reflectors are a prerequisite for the registration of a motorcycle. If the reflectors are no longer present, the registration of the two-wheeler will expire.
Which regulations must be observed when side reflectors are installed?
The fork reflectors must have an E-mark (all of our fork reflectors have an E-mark). The fork reflectors must be installed at a height between 30cm and 90cm.
The visibility of the reflectors must be 15 degrees vertically and 30 degrees horizontally.
The side fork reflectors must be yellow according to EC/EU.
Install side fork reflectors on the motorcycle
The most important thing before assembly is cleaning the adhesive surfaces. This must be free of dust and grease.
Measurements indicate where the reflector will fit, if necessary mark with an adhesive strip. The fork reflectors should be installed on both sides at the same height (between 30cm and 90cm).
For our fork reflectors we only use the best glue you can find: 3M adhesive pads. These guarantee that the fork reflectors will last long and well. To assemble, carefully peel off the back protective layer of the 3M adhesive tape.
